Hansell Composites Ltd. and their range of Fibre-Lyte
parts, was started by Martin Hansell in January 1992. In August that year
he was joined in the company by his brother John. Both brothers have a passion
for making things out of carbon fibre, of course not all of these items reach
production for a variety of reasons. Both are very keen cyclists having raced
mountain bikes in the past. John now rides road and time trial while Martin
rides tandem (with carbon fibre chain rings) together with his wife Jennifer,
who can also be found answering the phones in the office. Martin's other
passion is motor bikes and the business gives him the ideal excuse to own a
Fireblade and make all sorts of carbon parts for it
